A 90-days-old baby girl, born to Laxmi Sandip Mote, is currently fighting for her life at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital. Admitted since 11th April 2025, she has been  with a life-threatening combination of conditions including:

This cost certificate is issued at the explicit request of the patient to source funding towards the cost of Treatment

A 3 months male baby was admitted in ward with above mentioned complaints & necessary investigations were sent. Paediatric reference was given to Dr. Shilpa Aaroskar i/v/o fitness. Cardiac reference done by Dr. Amit Singh i/v/o Dextrocardia. With prior written informed consent by parents, patient underwent Right VP shunt on 08/09/2025 by Dr. Abhijit Kulkarni. Patient tolerated procedure well. Post-operative baby was shifted to NICU for observation & monitoring. Collected CSF sample was sent for further investigations – CSF biochem : sugar 32, protein 176, TC & DC body fluid WNL, CSF culture report awaited. On 09/09/2025, patient shifted to ward. Patient was treated with iv antibiotics, analgesics, iv fluids and other supportive medications.

But her parents simply cannot afford it.

Hospital History

CT BRAIN (PLAIN + CONTRAST)
CLINICAL PROFILE: C/o preterm, USG suggestive of non communicating hydrocephalus FINDINGS:
There is moderate to gross dilatation of the right lateral ventricle and temporal horn of left lateral ventricle.
The body and atrium of the left lateral ventricle also appear mildly dilated with heterogeneous isodense to hyperdense contents within along with thick enhancing wall — likely represents ventriculitis with exudates within.
A 10.0 x 8.0 mm sized conglomerate thick walled peripherally enhancing lesion is noted abutting the temporal horn of left lateral ventricle Similar morphology lesions are also noted in the right temporoparietal lobe measuring 15.0 x 14.0 mm — likely infective etiology like abscess/granulomas.
Relatively well defined non enhancing hypodense near CSF density lesions are noted in the left temporo-parietal lobe and left gangliocapsular region largest measuring 5.2 x 3.6 cm — ?porencephalic cysts.
A 4.2 x 3.1 cm sized non enhancing hypodense near CSF density lesion is seen in the interhemispheric fissure with few thin septations — ?interhemispheric cyst.
Multiple ill-defined hypodense non enhancing areas are noted scattered in the bilateral cerebral hemispheres — likely hypoxic/ischemic changes.
Corpus callosum could not be well appreciated in the current CT scan.
Cephalic index = 11.11/11.14 x 100 = 99.7% suggestive of Brachycephaly. Associated macrocephaly is also noted.

Her father, Sandip Mote, is a daily wage worker. Her mother, Laxmi Sandip Mote, is Death Baby Born. The family resides in  Room No.84 0003 Datta Nagar, Datta Mandir Sadguru Hospital, Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Maharashtra – 400701, with an annual income of only ₹95,000.

With a fragile newborn in critical care and no financial resources, they are on the brink of despair — and asking for help.
